Facilities that sign a 5 year contract, that price is guaranteed not to increase for the duration of their contract. Your facility must provide all necessary hardware and software. Being the sole proprietor allows me to have lower operating costs and pass those savings onto your facility. My availability to onboard new clients is limited to a few facilities that have the foresight to see the value of such an enterprise in a timely manner. Larger consulting groups routinely charge over $60 per hour for abstracting services. Using the commonly cited 1.5 to 1.6 hours to abstract a case, a larger consulting group may charge close to $100 for abstracting a single melanoma case. If a consulting group is not able to tell you exactly how much they are charging for abstracting a case, then you are likely overpaying for their services.
